Year 2 have been busy designers and engineers this term! As part of our Design and Technology learning, the children explored how wheels and axles, hinges and levers work and how they help everyday objects move.

Using their new knowledge, the children designed their own vehicles, carefully thinking about the features they wanted to include. They then worked hard to bring their ideas to life, constructing and decorating their very own cars with moving parts.

We were so impressed with the fantastic range of vehicles they created, and it was wonderful to see their excitement when their moving parts worked successfully.
